Television Pink is one of 21 broadcasters from 17 countries that have joined MTV EXIT in their fight against human trafficking. Marking the 8th of March, International Women’s Day, Television Pink together with ASTRA is airing a special MTV EXIT program hosted by Oscar winner Angelina Jolie.
The film introduces the issue of human trafficking for sexual exploitation featuring true stories from the human trafficking chain, including the victims, criminals as well as the people fighting to stop human trafficking, to help victims and to bring the criminals to justice. The MTV EXIT campaign, in which Pink is participating, is a multimedia initiative by MTV and the MTV Europe Foundation which is raising awareness and helping to end human trafficking.
This MTV initiative will enable the documentary to be seen by a potential audience of 130 million, including young people from Eastern and Central Europe, one of the most affected regions by the problem of human trafficking.
TV Pink is proud to have been chosen as one of the TV stations to be involved in the action to stop human trafficking and will continue to participate in campaigns such as this one in the future.
ASTRA is a non-governmental organization in Serbia that is dedicated to the eradication of all forms of human trafficking, especially women and children. ASTRA’s mission is to reduce this specific form of violence through prevention, public awareness and providing direct help to the victims and their families.
